Jacksoul - Unconditional Love

This is another personal favourite of mine. I don't actually know anything about it except that it originally came out in 1994 and thats about it. I believe it was also on a Compost records comp last year compiled by Florian Keller but apart from that I have never seen/heard it or come across it anywhere else or have no idea who Jacksoul is. Such a soulful voice and beautifully arranged...I could listen to it on repeat forever.

Jill Scott - Slowly Surely (Theo Parrish Remix)

Not much to say about this one except this is some classic Theo production. Hypnotic is a good word to describe it.

Black Science Orchestra - Headspace Lullaby

One of the last things recorded before their untimely demise, this harmonica laden 2-step anthem is a bit of a underground classic which still sounds just as great today as it did when it first came out back in 2002. I love the breakdown in this...an end of the night anthem.

VA - Whatiswrongwithgroovin:Jazzman Sevens

Heres 3 of my favourite jazz-dance classics all from the same excellent compilation. I thought it was a pretty rare comp but then I came across this so it can't be that hard to find. Absolutely timeless stuff.

Ben Westbeech - Hang Around (Wahoo Remix)

Very much looking forward to the debut Wahoo LP called 'Take It Personal' coming out on Fine Records in August. The title track is already becoming a classic which I'll hopefully post in the coming weeks when I get my hands on it. Meanwhile, heres a quality remix from a couple of months back.

New Sector Movements - Para

I remember hearing this I.G. Culture produced beauty on Gilles Peterson's Worldwide show in 2000 and being blown away at the time. It may not sound as fresh now as it did back then but it's still a wicked track from an extremely talented producer.

Julie Dexter - Ketch A Vibe

Whilst I'm on the subject of NSM, heres a wicked drum & bass tinged track from Julie Dexter who also appears on New Sector Movement's 'Download This' LP. This is my personal highlight from her 'Peace of Mind' EP also from 2000.

Everything But The Girl - Single (Photek Remix)

Been feeling this one again - a great remix of EBTG from way back in 1996. A great example of some trademark sparse, atmospheric Photek drum programming/production.
