VA - Journeys By DJ Present Gilles Peterson & Norman Jay: Desert Island Mix
A legendary mix CD compiled by Gilles and Norman back in '97. I believe it was re-released a few years ago though so is easier to come by. Some great tracks on both CD's but I think I'd have to choose Norman Jay's disc 2 mix over Gilles' since the tunes are mostly classics anyway which always stand the test of time better.Tracklisting - Gilles Peterson CD 1

VA - Talkin' Jazz Vol 1: Themes From The Black Forest
The first of three legendary and highly sought after jazz compilations Gilles Peterson put together in the 90's on his Talkin' Loud label. Some really great tracks on these which if you love your jazz like I do, are essential. Also, if anyone has or knows about the orginal GP compiled 'Jazz Juice' series on Streetsounds being online anywhere, a link would be hugely appreciated.Download

MJ Cole - Sincere (Marcus Intalex & ST Files Remix)
A classic remix of a classic track. I may not have purchased or even liked anything by MJ Cole (looking strangely like John Terry in the picture to the left) since 2003, but he still remains a legend in my eyes for some of his classic 2 step productions/remixes from back in the day. This Marcus Intalex & ST Files remix is immense and still sounds fresh, which is quite an achievement if you consider the amount of drum & bass that sounds dated a week after it's released, never mind almost 7 years on. I've also included the quality Recloose remix of 'Wondering Why'.MJ Cole - Sincere (Marcus Intalex & ST Files Remix)

New Sector Movements - Para
I remember hearing this I.G. Culture produced beauty on Gilles Peterson's Worldwide show in 2000 and being blown away at the time. It may not sound as fresh now as it did back then but it's still a wicked track from an extremely talented producer.New Sector Movements - Para
